HVO Community Consultative Committee

We are looking for people who reside locally or are a member of a local stakeholder group to join the Hunter Valley Operations Community Consultative Committee (HVO CCC). The HVO CCC is a forum for open discussions and information sharing between HVO and the community.

Community engagement ensures that the community and stakeholder groups are:

  • Kept informed of the status of projects, any new initiatives, and the performance of proponents.
  • Consulted on the development of projects, management plans and proposed changes to approved projects.
  • Able to provide feedback on key issues that may arise during the development or implementation of projects.
  • The role as a committee member is voluntary, we hold four meetings on site per annum during February, May, August and November.  On-line attendance can also be arranged via videoconference.

The community representative and stakeholder group should:

  • Be a current resident, worker or landowner affected by Hunter Valley Operations,
    or be a member of a stakeholder group with a demonstrated interest in Hunter Valley Operations.
  • Have a reasonable understanding of Hunter Valley Operations and potential issues of concern.
  • Be able to represent and communicate the interests of the local community or the group you represent.
  • Be willing to sign a pecuniary interest form and adhere to the committee’s code of conduct as per the Department of Planning and Environment CCC Guidelines.
