Latest HVO Community newsletter – April 2025
31 March 2025
Hunter Valley Operation’s (HVO) latest newsletter and upcoming community information sessions will keep the local community up to date with the mine’s operations and plans to continue mining.
The bi-annual newsletter has been hand delivered to local residents and a copy is also available from HVO’s website.
It has stories on:
- Recipients of round 2 of our 2024 Community Grants Program, including Detour Youth Services’ Music Therapy Room and the Maitland-Tenambit BMX Club’s newest timing equipment.
- Second-year electrical apprentice Levi Robert’s path to success.
- An insight into our newest safety initiatives.
HVO is holding another community information session in April. Local residents are welcome to come and have a cuppa and a chat with HVO team members about any aspect of the mine’s operations or its proposed Continuation Project.
HVO community information session
Saturday 12 April, 8-10am. 880 Maison Dieu Rd, Maison Dieu
Both the newsletter and information sessions coincide with the call for applications for Round 1 of HVO’s bi-annual community grants. Grants are available to support smaller scale community projects of not for profit groups in the Upper Hunter and Lower Hunter. Grant applications close April 30.
